The subject of the deliberate insurance is the mandatory personal liability for property or personal damage, caused while providing medical services, together with the damage done due to undertaking actions or possessing items used for providing health care.
What does the insurance include?
Deliberate Inter Ochrona ZOZ Insurance includes::
- personal liability for property or personal damage, caused while providing medical services, together with the damage done due to undertaking actions or possessing items used for providing health care,
- personal liability for damage done to rented or leased estate, which is used for professional purposes only, included in the insurance (the personal liability of the tenant),
- personal liability for property damage taken care of, supervised or controlled by the Insurer,
- personal liability of the Insurer's sub-contractors.
We provide opportunity of extending the insurance with transmitting contagious diseases and infections, including HIV infection and hepatotrophic viruses causing viral hepatitis (excluding food poisoning) and personal liability insurance of an employer for accidents in the workplace.
How does it work?
The insurance contract can be signed in terms of one of the two available temporal responsibility options:
Act committed insurance
TU INTER Polska S.A. provides insurance protection in terms of acts causing damage, which were committed during the insurance period. The rule of acts committed during the insurance period provides protection against claims (also after the insurance period ends) referring to the events, which took place during the period of policy validity.
Claims made insurance
TU INTER Polska S.A. provides insurance protection in terms of past accidents (damages) and claims made for the first time in writing during the insurance period. In case of changing conditions or breaching the continuity of the insurance, the starting date is assumed to be the date TU INTER Polska S.A. took responsibility in the new contract.
If the insurer signed a contract with TU INTER Polska S.A. in the past insurance period, which was based on claims and was continued without interruptions, the insurance protection provided by the Association is extended onto the claims for damages, which were caused by events from before the current insurance period, however, not earlier than the beginning of the insurance period in the first of the contracts signed with the INTER Association (determined on the basis of the starting date).
Example: In 2008 a patient submits a claim, the act being the source of the damage took place in 2004, at which time the pharmacist, paramedic, laboratory diagnost was insured in TU INTER Polska S.A., therefore we bear the responsibility for the damage. In other words: damage is compensated by the Insurer, who had an insurance contract signed with the pharmacist, paramedic, laboratory diagnost, when the act causing damage was committed.
