1926

Establishing the relief health care management office for the Craftsmanship Chamber in Ludwigshafen.

1935

Establishing the INTER Group Headquarters in Mannheim.
Developing sales network and broadening insurance offer with health and life insurance.

1971

New organisational structure of the INTER group, establishing:
- the INTER Krankenversicherung aG
- the INTER Lebensversicherung aG

1973

Expansion of the INTER group in Germany.

1981

Establishing the INTER Allgemeine Versicherung AG (the joint stock company).

1991

Fusion of the INTER and the Freie Arzt- und Medizinkasse.

1994

Foreclosure of holding in the Bausparkasse Mainz AG.

1996

Developing the INTER group outside of Germany – foreclosure of majority of shares of the FORTUNA S.A. Insurance Association in Poland.

2001

Foreclosure of property insurance portfolio of Sampo, Kolonia.



History of INTER in Poland

1991

Receiving permit to establish the insurance business.

1992

Establishing the FORTUNA S.A. Insurance Association, with headquarters in Bielsko-Biała.

1996

Acquiring the Main Shareholder – the INTER Versicherungen insurance group.

1997

Changing the name of the Co-partnership for the INTER-FORTUNA S.A. Insurance Association.
Intense development of cooperation with the General Medical Councils and the Craftsmanship Chambers across the country.

1998

Relocating the Company's Headquarters from Bielsko-Biała to Warsaw.

2000

Changing the name of the association for the INTER Polska S.A. Insurance Association.

2002

Introducing to the Polish market the first private health insurance, called VISION.

2005

Changing the name of the association, due to the changes in the act on insurance business, for the  INTER Polska S.A. Insurance Association.

2008

New Headquarters location: Warsaw, Al. Jerozolimskie 172.
